Xavi Hernández has agreed to remain as Barcelona’s manager until the end of his deal in 2025, reversing his announcement that he will leave the Catalan side after the end of the current campaign.
At the beginning of the year, the Spaniard claimed that he would leave his current position in the summer after unsatisfied results, revealing that managing Barca had also affected him mentally.

However, today after a meeting with the club president Joan Laporta, the ex-Barca midfielder has made a U-turn on his initial decision to leave and will honor the contract with the club from Camp Nou that will keep him until 2025.
Barcelona hired Xavi in 2021, and he won LaLiga with them in the past campaign as that was Barca’s 1st title in 4 seasons and inked last September an extension until the summer of 2025 as he also has an option in his deal for an additional campaign beyond 2025.
After his announcement that he would leave in January, Barcelona went 13 matches unbeaten in all tournaments as the club’s board admitted that they would try to keep Xavi at the helm of the club, and it seems like they succeeded.
