Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, is reportedly considering not risking Jude Bellingham in the UEFA Super Cup match against Atalanta on Wednesday, August 14. The decision comes as the team prepares for the 2024/2025 season following their preseason tour in the USA.

Bellingham, who missed the USA tour as part of a pre-arranged plan, had a demanding season with Real Madrid and also participated in the European Championship with the England national team, reaching the final. Given this, Ancelotti is expected to manage the young midfielder’s playing time cautiously as the season progresses, especially in September.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Bellingham was not included among the 11 players prepared as starters during Real Madrid’s final training session before they left for Poland. This suggests that Ancelotti might choose to rest Bellingham or use him as a substitute rather than include him in the starting lineup for the match against Atalanta in Warsaw.
