Ansu Fati joins Brighton on loan from Barcelona

Ansu Fati has officially joined Brighton on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona.

The promising star’s career at the Catalan giants has been taken to a halt, after the 20-year-old struggles to find his usual best.

Therefore, it is no surprise that Blaugrana have temporarily released him in order for him to hit his peak once again.

Many top teams have shown interest in Fati, including Tottenham, but the 20-year-old has opted to play for Brighton after being heavily impress by Roberto de Zerbi’s attractive style of football.

“This is a great deal for all of us. I am sure Ansu will help us to reach a new target and we can help him get back to the level he deserves to be.” the Brighton manager said.

“He is one of the most highly-rated young players in the world and arrives with an impressive amount of experience both domestically and in European competition, despite his age.” added Brighton’s technical director David Weir.

The deal does not include obligation to buy the player.
