João Cancelo has shared the extent of the social media abuse he got after Barcelona’s Champions League exit after the loss against PSG in Catalonia as the most cruel of them wishing death upon his family.
🗣️ João Cancelo: "There are comments on Instagram that wish death for my unborn daughter. They certainly don't say that to my face, because there will be problems.
But in the comments, they insult my wife, my unborn daughter and my child. The world today is cruel and you've to… pic.twitter.com/YlyEKEHECv

The Catalan side led 3-2 from the 1st leg but lost 4-1 a few days ago as they were eliminated from the tournament at the ¼ finals.
“People write all sorts,” the defender shared with the media ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Real Madrid in the league.
“There are comments on my social media wishing death upon my daughter, who’s not even been born yet. When people meet me in person, they say nothing, but online, they write all types of things.
Cancelo added that they are offensive to his wife, his child, and his unborn baby. João continued that we live in a cruel world, and you must learn to live with it.
Portugal International made a foul against Dembele, leading to a PSG penalty and becoming a social media abuse target.
