The first game of the new NBA season will be on October 22 in TD Garden

The Boston Celtics will kick off the 2024-25 NBA season in style by raising their 18th championship banner on October 22 before hosting the New York Knicks. This marquee matchup will be the first game of the new season, followed by a showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Lakers, a perennial favorite on Christmas Day, will visit the Golden State Warriors as part of a star-studded schedule that sees them featured on national television 39 times throughout the season.

The Philadelphia 76ers will debut their new Big Three of Paul George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey on October 23 against the Milwaukee Bucks. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers will inaugurate their new home arena with a clash against the Phoenix Suns, also on October 23.

The Dallas Mavericks, boasting their own Big Three of Klay Thompson, Luka Doncic, and Kyrie Irving, will open their season on October 24 at home against the San Antonio Spurs and rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama.
