Conor Gallagher is expected to return to training at the Blues’ Cobham training ground today after landing in the English capital, with his Atletico Madrid move uncertain.
Gallagher (24) was pictured in the La Liga club’s Metropolitano Stadium in the past weekend and spent 5 days in a hotel in the Spanish capital but has been unable to complete his 33 million pound move.
His transfer was halted because the West London’s side 34.5 million dollar transfer to ink Spanish forward Samu Omorodion collapsed over personal terms at the end of the past weekend.
Atletico Madrid must make 1 major sale to be able to afford Conor after inking the Sky Blues forward Julian Alvarez for almost 82 million pounds 2 days ago.
Conor’s transfer is not considered off but remains under threat of not happening. An alternative variant for the Blues is to ink Joao Felix from the Spanish team, as Joao spent 6 months on loan with the Blues last year.
