Milwaukee had a hot start, scoring 40 points in the first quarter, but the Celtics’ defense tightened, holding the Bucks to only 38 points in the second half. The Bucks pulled within three points late in the fourth quarter, but Boston’s Jrue Holiday made two crucial free throws with 1:35 left, stretching the lead to 109-104. Despite a dominant performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo, who tallied 43 points and 13 rebounds, the Bucks couldn’t close the gap, dropping to a 1-3 record at home. Bobby Portis contributed 15 points and seven rebounds, while Damian Lillard added 14 points and six assists for Milwaukee.

In Dallas Nikola Jokic recorded an astounding triple-double with 37 points, 18 rebounds, and 15 assists, leading the Denver Nuggets to a thrilling victory over Mavericks. Michael Porter Jr. hit a go-ahead floater with just 6.5 seconds remaining to secure a 125-123 win. The Nuggets have now swept a five-game homestand, with Jamal Murray (18 points), Porter (17 points), and Peyton Watson (16 points) providing strong support. Christian Braun and Julian Strawther added valuable points off the bench with 14 and 12, respectively.

Kyrie Irving put up a season-high 43 points for Dallas, hitting 17 of 22 from the field, including six 3-pointers. Luka Doncic was also influential with 24 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, but it wasn’t enough for the Mavericks, who have now lost two consecutive games in the final seconds. Daniel Gafford contributed 16 points, and Klay Thompson added 10 points to the Mavs’ effort. Denver’s win showcased their ability to thrive under pressure, while Dallas looks to rebound after two late-game heartbreaks.
