Jurgen Klopp has claimed he can’t provide a timeframe on Diogo Jota’s injury but added that his striker will be sidelined for “months.”
The Portuguese forward was stretchered off the pitch in the 1st half of the Reds’ victory against Brentford in London in the past weekend after Christian Norgaard landed badly on his leg.

“With Jota, it will take months [not weeks],” the Liverpool manager shared with the reporters today.
“I couldn’t provide a timeframe even if I wanted to. That’s the reality of the situation. When you don’t have more information, it is stupid to speculate.”
Diogo’s injury is a big hit for Liverpool, who has been in top form and replaced Mohamed Salah in the best way possible during the Egyptian was with his national team and then being sidelined with an injury. In 28 matches in all tournaments in the current campaign, the Portugal international has contributed 18 goals and assists.
He joins Trent Alexander-Arnold as both will miss the Carabao Cup final vs. Chelsea on February 25th. Curtis Jones can also be out against the Blues as he has a ligament issue and will not play tomorrow vs. Luton.
Alisson will also not play tomorrow as Jurgen claims that the Brazilian goalkeeper will be sidelined for the “foreseeable [future]” due to a muscle problem.
