Washington Commanders limited partner Magic Johnson was very critical of his new organization after the 20-point defeat to the Chicago Bears.
After the NFL team from the USA capital lost 40-20 to the winless Chicago, Magic tweeted that the franchise was competing with no intensity or fire. He claimed that they started awfully in the 1st half, and it was very hard to comeback, and we ended up defeated.
Magic, who was presented at the stadium during the match, is 1 of 20 limited partners with new chief Josh Harris. Magic was attending many events and matches and is the face of the franchise with the new owner.
Even Washington players admitted that Magic was right to criticize them after the result after halftime was 27-3 for the Bears.
“I can’t disagree with what he said,” Washington receiver Terry McLaurin shared.
“Definitely,” DE Montez Sweat added. “We started the match without enthusiasm.”
Tonight the Commanders played with no intensity or fire. We didn’t compete in the first half and got down 27-3 heading into halftime. It was too big of a hole to climb out of and that is why we ended up losing 40-20.
