The Spain international started 43 matches for the Sky Blues during 2021-22, but manager Pep Guardiola used Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake ahead of him in the past campaign, where City won a treble.
The Premier League champ paid 95 million dollars to sign another defender Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.
Aymeric can become a teammate with Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles in Saudi Arabia.
Laporte landed in City for a then-record fee of 77 million dollars in 2018 from Athletic Bilbao. Guardiola became the Sky Blues boss year and a half before that, and he wanted a defender that could play with the ball and the midfielders, and Aymeric helped with that as he triumphed with 5 Premier League trophies in the past 6 years.
Laporte has played 180 matches for Manchester City as the defender has scored 12 goals.
