After netting the winning goal for the French national team against Greece, Kylian became the best French scorer in a single campaign with 54 goals for his team and France, getting ahead of Just Fontaine, who held the record since the 1957-58 season.

Mbappe was crucial for PSG to win another title in France and was phenomenal at the World Cup in Qatar as he received the Golden Boot and scored a hat trick in the final vs. Argentina.

The other biggest competitors of Mbappe for the trophy will be his former  Paris Saint-Germain teammate Leo Messi and Erling Haaland, who broke the Premier League’s scoring record.
