Martin Ødegaard claimed that Arsenal will be “rewarded with a trophy” in the upcoming campaign and has promised they can come back stronger after last campaign’s disappointment.
Mikel Arteta’s team set new EPL-era team records in registering 28 league victories and netting 91 goals but still fell short as the Sky Blues claimed their 4th straight Premier League title by 2 points.
The Gunners have started their preparations for the upcoming season ahead of most other teams as 9 footballers not involved in the international tournaments this summer – featuring Ødegaard, Ben White, and Jurriën Timber — joined up with team staff in the Spanish city of Marbella for a camp.
“We made history as we discussed after the end of the seasons, and we have to be proud of those things,” the Arsenal midfielder claimed.
Ødegaard added that despite it wasn’t enough for the title as in this game small margins matter the most, the players are ready to earn it next season and he is confident about that.
Martin Ødegaard on Havertz settling in: “It’s one of the strengths Mikel has, to get the best out of everyone. As a group we help each other a lot. It’s easier to play in a team that is always helping you to perform. Everyone knows the different qualities of each player.” #afc pic.twitter.com/oC72WIEYDF
