Paris Saint-Germain’s forward Kylian Mbappe has reportedly signed a contract with the Spanish vice-champion, Real Madrid, according to Marca journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon. In a tweet, de Mon confidently stated, “He has signed a contract with Real Madrid. The deal is done.”
The news comes after RMC Sport confirmed on February 16 that Mbappe had informed his PSG teammates about his departure. Prior to this, the 25-year-old player had also notified PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi about his intention to leave once his contract expires in the summer.
Kylian Mbappe has been a pivotal figure at PSG since his arrival in August 2017. In the 2023/2024 season, the forward scored 31 goals and provided 7 assists in 30 matches across all competitions. During his time with PSG, Mbappe has clinched the French championship five times.
Rumors in the past hours claimed that Real Madrid won’t be satisfied with just Mbappe in their squad next season, as the club is preparing to make a bid for Manchester City’s star forward Erling Haaland. Florentino Perez wants to make another ‘Galactico’ squad alongside Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr.
