Portuguese Sporting Club finished 2-2 against Arsenal in the first Europa League 1/8-finals clash. The Gunners took an early lead before going down 2-1, but an own goal helped them to avoid a defeat in Lisbon.
The English side opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when William Saliba outjumped the defence inside the six-yard box to meet the corner and scored with a great header into the left side of the goal.
Ten minutes before the half-time break Marcus Edwards crossed from a corner and Goncalo Inacio copied what Saliba did earlier and scored for 1-1.
In the 55th minute Sporing completed the comeback. Paulinho fired a rebound into the bottom right corner, leaving no chance to Turner. With a little over an hour of play Hidemasa Morita scored an unlucky own goal as he deflected a shot into his net. VAR checked the whole attack and confirmed everything is okay.
