Thiago Silva now holds the record for the oldest goalscorer in the Blues history as he scored in his team’s 4-4 draw against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Thiago inked with the North London club in 2020, shortly before turning 36, and has played more than 120 matches for Chelsea since then in just over 3 years with the Premier League side.
The Brazilian broke a 76-year-old record, dating back to 1947 when ex-England international Dick Spence netted aged 38.
Thiago is now 4th on the Premier League’s all-time list of oldest goalscorers, too, with only Teddy Sheringham, Dean Windass, and Ryan Giggs scoring when they were older than him.
Teddy Sheringham’s goal in the Premier League came when the striker was almost 41 years old, as the time will tell if Silva will go for that record.
