The team, led by LeBron James, decided to sign two players before the beginning of the playoffs—the former teammate of LeBron in the Cleveland Cavaliers – the Canadian Tristan Thompson and Shaquille Harrison.

Thompson was for the last time on the court as part of the Chicago Bulls in 21-22 when he had almost 6 points and 5 rebounds per game in 23 matches. However, the Canadian player was a key factor when he played alongside James in Cavs, and together, they played in 4 NBA Finals in a row – 2015-18.
The other new addition to LA Lakers is the point guard Shaquille Harrison who comes from their G League affiliate.
Davon Reed will leave the franchise to clear the post for acquiring 2nd player.
