Vini missed the past weekend’s match because of suspension, having received a yellow card in the group matches vs. Paraguay and Colombia.
With the Real Madrid attacker, Brazil wasn’t creative and lost 4-2 after penalties as both teams failed to score during the regular time despite Selecao playing with 1 more player on the pitch in the final 20 minutes of the game.
“The Copa América is over, and now is the best time to reflect, to know how to deal with the exit,” the Los Blancos star shared on social media. “The feeling of frustration is reliable again. We exit the tournament after a shootout again.
“It was my mistake for receiving 2 avoidable yellow cards. Not for the 1st time, I watched the exit from the sidelines. But this time, I take the blame. I apologize for letting everybody down.”
