Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0 to reach Super Cup final

Barcelona defeated Athletic Bilbao 2-0 at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah and will play for the trophy at the weekend as their opponent will be either Real Madrid or Mallorca as these teams face each other tomorrow in the 2^nd semifinal.

Everything started so well for Barca as they took the lead after only 17 minutes as Gavi scored the opening goal after Balde’s assist. The Catalan side played better and deserved to lead after the 1^st half.

Hansi Flick’s players continued to be the better team on the pitch and at the beginning of the 2^nd half, the young superstar of the team Lamine Yamal doubled his team’s lead as the assist gave Gavi, who netted the opening goal. Yamal shared earlier today that he wans to play for Barca and will sign an extension of his deal very soon so fans don’t need to worry about him leaving as he loves the club.
