Despite suffering a 5-0 defeat to Arsenal earlier in the week, Chelsea is yet to make a final decision regarding the future of manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to reports from The Telegraph.
The Argentine manager reportedly “still retains support” within the club, with discussions ongoing about whether he will continue in his role beyond the current season.
The Telegraph states: “Chelsea are facing a significant decision on whether to stick with head coach Mauricio Pochettino, with players at the club braced for another summer of changes.
“While pressure mounts on Pochettino following recent results, including the FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City and the heavy defeat to Arsenal, there is no unanimous agreement on his future within Chelsea’s hierarchy.
“Despite frustrations over certain decisions, Pochettino still has backing within the club, with recognition of the challenging circumstances he has faced.
“Furthermore, there is acknowledgment that Pochettino cannot bear sole responsibility for the team’s struggles, particularly as he was not involved in transfer policy decisions or the choice to assemble a young squad.”
