Italy international inked an initial 18-month contract with Arsenal when he joined from Chelsea at the beginning of 2023. His new extension is announced as a “short-term deal” by the Gunners.
Jorginho played 35 matches for Arsenal in the current campaign in all tournaments as he has 1 goal to his name.
“It’s a dream come true to stay because it’s a privilege to be a part of this team,” shared the midfielder after inking his extension.
Jorginho, who played 4 and a half seasons for the Blues before joining the Gunners, claims the team is in a “special moment” under the current manager.
“He is such a crucial part of our club, a role model with great leadership skills and a unique style of play which makes his teammates better when he is on the pitch,” shared Arsenal’s head coach.
The Gunners will play against Man United at the end of the weekend at Old Trafford before hosting Everton to end the campaign on May 19th.
