Los Angeles Clippers leader Kawhi Leonard plans to make his campaign debut today vs. Atlanta Hawks at Intuit Dome.
His team upgraded him to questionable yesterday night, suggesting that he will be on the court again for the 1st time since April 26. Clippers will assess Leonard in the next few hours.
Kawhi has been sidelined all campaign because of inflammation in his right knee, and the franchise didn’t want to take any chances with his injury and forced him to return on the court. In the past campaign, Kawhi sat out the final 8 regular-campaign matches and Game 1 of the LA’s 1st-round matchup vs. the Mavericks. Leonard returned for the next 2 games from the series but didn’t play at his usual level and wasn’t very helpful for his organization.

Kawhi was then shut down for the rest of the matchup, sharing that he was still dealing with problems while being on the court. That was the last time that we saw him in the NBA.
He was part of the USA Basketball’s training camp during the summer but didn’t travel with the team at the Paris Olympics as Derrick White replaced him.
