Ryan Gravenberch, who has an ankle problem, is the latest footballer to join Liverpool’s sidelined players.
Mo Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Dominik Szoboszlai are training but are doubtful to play against Championship team Southampton at Anfield tomorrow.
On the injury list, Jurgen shared: “I couldn’t claim it is much improved.”
The Dutch midfielder had to be carried off on a stretcher during the weekend’s Carabao Cup win vs. Chelsea, although he returned to the pitch – on crutches and wearing a protective boot – to celebrate with his teammates the winning of the title.
Ryan joins Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, Stefan Bajcetic, and Diogo Jota in the long list of the Reds players who could not play at the moment.
Japan international Wataru Endo is also questionable, as he suffered a knock on Sunday’s final.
