France superstar Kylian Mbappé made his return to the pitch today, playing an hour in a match behind closed doors after breaking his nose vs. Austria at the beginning of the week.

Kylian and his teammates, who didn’t start the goalless draw vs. the Netherlands yesterday, played 2 halves of 30 minutes in teams mixed with Paderborn U21 footballers.
The French captain (25) was on the team in white bibs, on the left wing, alongside Olivier Giroud. Mbappe netted 2 goals and had 2 assists in his team’s win.
Before the match, the young Paderborn footballers had been warned not to play too hard against Kylian as he was wearing the black mask that he will have to wear whenever he is on the pitch in the remaining matches of the Euro 2024.
Taking part of this practice match was always part of the plan. Mbappe needed to get used playing while wearing the mask as he was benched during the goalless draw against the Oranges.
