Huge moment in the top of the table clash as the Reds were denied a penalty

Liverpool and Arsenal finished their clash in a thrilling 1-1 draw at Anfield as the Gunners remained on top with a single point ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

However, a huge question mark remained over one incident during the game, when Liverpool were denied a penalty in what seemed to be a clear cut handball by Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian slipped inside the Liverpool box and it look as though his arm fell onto the ball as he tried to turn, leading to some serious shouts for a penalty from the home side.

Match official Chris Kavanagh snubbed the home side claims and VAR official David Coote agreed with the decision.

PGMOL came out with a statement that Odegaard’s arm is moving towards the body and not towards the ball.

Many have deemed the decision lucky for Arsenal and it seems the Gunners just got away with it.
