The Blues captain Reece James has sustained another setback after injuring a hamstring in training, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has shared with the media.
James didn’t play much of the past campaign after undergoing hamstring procedure, which was designed to help him overcome a series of problems, and finally returned to the pitch in October.
Reece James will miss Chelsea’s game this weekend with a new injury. His injury history with the club:
Games played: 162
Games missed: 129
Injuries: 20— B/R Football (@brfootball) November 21, 2024
Enzo claimed that the injury will not force Reece for a long period of time but the defender will not play in the upcoming game against the Foxes in Leicester City during the weekend.
Chelsea head coach shared this: “We can’t count at just 1 injured footballer at the moment and that is our captain who unfortunately felt something small in training 2 days ago and we will avoid any risk by playing him against Leicester.”
Maresca added that Reece injury is muscular but it is nothing serious at the moment and that he believes that the captain will be available for selection very soon.
