Team USA defeats hosts France for Olympic men’s basketball gold

Team USA won against hosts France 98-87 at Bercy Arena in Paris to triumph with the Olympic gold medal as that was 5^th consecutive 1^st place for the USA at the Olympics.

Steve Kerr’s team won all but 1 quarter as the hosts won the 3^rd period 25-23 and came close behind Team USA before the final quarter but the class of the American players showed and especially Steph Curry who destroyed the hosts dreams with his 3-pointers at the end of the match.

IT WAS ALWAYS GOLD.

The Golden State Warriors superstar finished with 24 points as he shot 8/14 as all of the shots that Curry converted came beyond the arc. Antony Davis led the USA team with 10 rebounds – 4 defensive and 6 offensive boards. LeBron James provided 10 assists in the victory, and Kevin Durant won his 5^th gold medal with the U.S. team.

French superstar Victor Wembanyama finished with 26 points – notched the most points of all players but his efforts were not enough to push the hosts to defeat the big favorite USA and win the gold medal in front of the French supporters at Bercy Arena.
