Manchester United are planning a major squad overhaul this summer as they aim to transform the club under the management of Erik Ten Hag.
United, who endured their worst season in the Premier League era last year have enjoyed a real renaissance this campaign after the arrival of new Dutch manager. The Red Devils have already clinched the Carabao Cup, their first trophy in six years, are sitting pretty in the standings and looking good for a top 4 finish, and on top of that, are still in the running in Europa League and the FA Cup.
However, despite the undeniable progress, the desire for more is present and United will strive for more success in the future. And they are planning to do that by bringing in new players in the place of current ones.
Last summer eight United players left the club and this time it is expected to be even more. It all stems from the trust the board has in the vision of Erik Ten Hag.
Club captain Harry Maguire is one of the favorites to leave as he has seen very limited playing time under the new regime. Anthony Elanga and Eric Bailly are the other two likely to leave the club after their dissatisfying performances.
As for the new players, rumours are that the Red Devils will try to bolster the squad in all outfield positions.
