Newcastle have convicted racist abuse sent to Bruno Guimarães and Joe Willock after the team’s 1-0 win against Arsenal yesterday.

“Our directive is clear. There is no room for racism anywhere in the world,” the club shared on social media.
“We support our players and will work with relevant authorities and social media platforms to identify who did those things so that they can be held to account.”
The Brazilian midfielder escaped being booked after appearing to lead with his forearm onto the head of the Gunners player Jorginho in a very tense clash at St James’ Park.
Willock was part of the controversial goal that Newcastle scored as he kept the ball in play near the corner flag, and that allowed Anthony Gordon to net the winning goal. Arsenal were not happy that VAR counted the goal as the Gunners claimed that their defender was fouled, and after that, there was an offside.
