Reece James may be sidelined for a long period of time after sustaining a hamstring injury during training session.
The 23-year-old is currently undergoing scans and all of Chelsea supporters are anxiously awaiting the results.
The seriousness of the injury will be revealed in the next 24 hours.
James is no stranger to injuries of that type with the right-back missing last season’s final 7 games with hamstring issues.
The 23-year-old was selected as the new Chelsea captain and he debuted as such on Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool. However, he was substituted in the 76th minute, but head-coach Mauricio Pochettino dismissed any claims that it is related to his fitness.
But it seems that the injury concerns have resurfaced and Chelsea are facing another setback as James has proven himself to be one of the Blues’ most prominent figures when fit.
